Enforce safety and quality standards.
Direct and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in the movement of product.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new associates, or assign associates to experienced workers for training.
Observe work and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production and quality standards.
Resolve associates problems or complaints.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
Generalized Work Activities:
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Analyzing Data or Information - Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Guiding, Directing, and Motivating Associates - Providing guidance and directions to associates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others - Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Coaching and Developing Others - Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Detailed Work Activities:
Effective utilization of labor and equipment, maximization of quality, safety and productivity within cost and delivery parameters.
Continuous improvement in quality, safety, delivery.
Act as a change agent in the utilization of lean manufacturing techniques.
Analyze and act on all quality concerns both internal and external.
Mentor salaried and hourly personnel for development within the organization.
Preparation of all production reports for department on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
